Privacy Policy.
Last updated: 2 November 2026. A short explanation of the data you send through the inquiry form and how we handle it.
1. Who we are
SATRIP ("we") operates the exploresabang.com website and private travel services in Sabang, Aceh. Questions about privacy can be sent to booking@exploresabang.com.
2. Data we collect
When you submit the inquiry form, we receive the data you fill in yourself:
- Full name, email address, and phone/WhatsApp number (required).
- The package type you are interested in (required).
- Travel date, number of travelers, chosen destinations and activities, pickup/drop-off locations, and additional notes (optional).
- The time you gave your consent to the statement on the form.
- The language of the page you used (Indonesian or English), to help us reply in a suitable language.
We do not ask for card details, passwords, or payment data. Please do not write them in the notes field.
3. How we use your data
- To respond to your inquiry, check availability, and contact you with details or a quote.
- To prepare and coordinate the trip you request, including communicating with partners who run sea activities when needed. Only the information needed for confirmation (for example the date, the number of travelers, and your contact details) is shared.
- To prevent misuse of the form (spam) and keep the site secure.
We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising.
4. Consent
The form asks for your consent to be contacted about your inquiry. By ticking it, you confirm that you have read this policy. You can ask us to stop contacting you at any time by emailing the address above.
5. Storage and security
Inquiries are stored in a database on the hosting service we use and forwarded as a notification to our team's email. Access is limited to following up on inquiries. We apply reasonable security measures, but no system is completely free of risk.
To limit spam, your device's IP address is converted into a one-way hash code and used only to count how often submissions are made within a short period. This code is not stored together with the inquiry data.
6. WhatsApp
If you choose the "Open WhatsApp" button after your inquiry is saved, a message containing a summary is prepared in your own WhatsApp app. The message is only sent once you press Send, and after that it is subject to WhatsApp's policies.
7. Cookies and third-party services
This site does not set tracking or analytics cookies. To display fonts (Cormorant Garamond and Manrope), pages may load font files from Google Fonts, so your device's IP address may be received by Google when the fonts are downloaded.
8. How long we keep your data
We keep inquiry data for as long as needed to respond to and manage your request. Inquiries that do not become a trip are planned to be deleted or anonymized after about 12 months, unless we need to keep them longer for legal obligations or to resolve disputes.
9. Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of the data you submitted, and withdraw your consent, by contacting booking@exploresabang.com and mentioning your inquiry ID. We respond to requests in line with the laws in force in Indonesia.
10. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the latest version will be shown on this page together with the date it was updated.
